Baked Pears with Honey, Nutmeg and Lemon


This Christmas treat family and friends to a delicious dessert that is sure to impress and get the festive spirit flowing. TOTAL Greek yoghurt development Chef Paul Wharrier has combined sumptuous seasonal pears with sweet honey, spicy nutmeg and tangy lemon to create the ultimate, quick to prepare party pudding.

2 pears, core and cut into 4 wedges

2 TOTAL Honey twin pot

25g currants or raisins

1 tsp grated lemon zest

½ tsp ground nutmeg

 

Method

• Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F / Gas Mark 6.

• Cut 2 sheets of foil, each about 12 square. Place 1 foil sheet on work surface. Arrange 4 pear wedges, overlapping slightly, on 1 half of foil.

• Take 1 TOTAL Honey Twinpot and drizzle half the honey over the pears. Sprinkle with half the currants, half of the lemon peel and a pinch of nutmeg.

• Fold foil over, enclosing contents completely and crimping edges tightly to seal.

• Repeat this process until you have two parcels.

• Place foil packets on heated a preheated baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
